About Us
Experienced and dedicated Montessori trained teachers carefully prepare the environment to meet each child’s need for purposeful activity, enrichment, and positive empathetic social interaction.
Montessori Peace School nurtures the sense of wonder in learning by providing a cozy educational environment designed to meet the needs and nourish the potential of children 18 months to 3 years old in our Preprimary Class and 3 to 6 years old in our Primary Classes.
Our Programming
The Montessori materials at Montessori Peace School include exercises in the areas of Practical Life, Language, Writing, Sensorial and Mathematics. In addition, children explore History, Geography, Social studies, Science, and Art. Montessori Peace School also offers daily Yoga Classes, Peace Education, Organic Gardening and weekly Music Together Classes as part of the curriculum.
Warm, Learning Environment
Our classrooms are designed to provide opportunities for children to learn from and teach their peers. Students make discoveries about themselves and the world as they pursue activities of their own choosing while progressing at their own pace. The choices, enjoyable activities, and a non-competitive environment at Montessori Peace School nourish children as they develop a lifetime love of learning.
Our students come from Reston, Herndon, and other nearby communities. We are located just 2.4 miles from Reston, making it a very easy trip for parents.
